About Mexican Riviera Sailings
Mexican Riviera sailings aboard the Disney Wonder depart from San Diego and sail down the Pacific coast of Mexico — visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta. These sailings are seasonal (fall through spring) and offer a warm-weather escape for West Coast families who don't want the long journey to Florida ports. The Mexican Riviera has a distinctly different feel from Caribbean itineraries — more rugged coastline, colonial architecture, and dramatic desert-meets-ocean landscapes.

What to Know
Cabo San Lucas
Cabo sits at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Famous for its dramatic rock arch (El Arco), crystal-clear water, whale watching (December-April), sport fishing, and beautiful beaches. Medano Beach is the most popular — a short water taxi from the pier.
Mazatlán
Mazatlán is a colonial port city with a beautifully preserved historic center (El Centro) that many tourists skip in favor of the beach resort zone. Both are worth seeing — the Centro has stunning 19th-century architecture, while the Zona Dorada has beaches, restaurants, and the famous Mazatlán Carnival culture.
Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is the jewel of the Mexican Riviera — a charming cobblestone city on Banderas Bay surrounded by jungle mountains. The Malecón waterfront promenade, the Romantic Zone neighborhood, and zip-lining through the Sierra Madre are all excellent. Puerto Vallarta has a particularly vibrant food scene.
